We’re helping our community by telling a story about careers

Who else remembers this old-old jingle:

♫“I love Nevada, you love Nevada, yes sir living in Nevada’s mighty fine-fine-fine.” ♫

No? Just us? Well we are kinda nerdy like that.

Anyhow, our goal as an agency has always been to help our community grow in positive ways. Because like the jingle says, we LOVE Nevada. And we’ve watched as we’ve experienced huge growth locally — without the necessary workforce to fill the many local jobs that are desperately needed.

The writing is on the wall: For our community to continue to thrive, we must fill these jobs — lots of jobs, available to people of all different kinds of backgrounds and interests.

So it made sense for us to join forces with a new alliance of education leaders dedicated to spreading the message about our region’s many pathways to great careers. New Nevada, New Choices is the group, and we’ve brought our expertise to the table — communication and marketing —in order to help the group identify and spread a unified message. Because with that unified message, we can better attract qualified talent and help our community thrive.

Over the course of the last year, we’ve been tasked with generating names, identifying target markets, drafting strategies, creating logos, writing copy and designing a website, which is launching soon.

Do you know someone who needs to know about New Nevada, New Choices — and the many great careers we have available in this phenomenal state? Or perhaps someone who can help us spread the message?

Stay tuned!

It was just about a year ago that we were all learning about Zoom meetings and virtual events. While 2020 was the year of “Helen, you’re on mute,” there’s a pretty good chance 2021 will be the year
