Let’s Get Moving: How Motion Captures Attention & Builds Brands
You’ve got about three seconds to grab someone’s attention in today’s hyper-scrolling world, and that’s being generous.
Motion is no longer a “nice-to-have” in marketing—it’s a necessity. And we don’t mean adding explosions to otherwise static images or making your copy fly in and do acrobatics before landing in place. We’re talking about thoughtfully integrating movement to enhance your brand's voice and help your audience better understand who you are and what you have to offer. Because when motion is used with purpose, it doesn't just get seen—it gets remembered.
Why Motion Matters
It stops the scroll.
In digital marketing, you’re not just competing with other brands—you’re competing with tailored and abundant content from personal friends to meme pages and influencers. Motion gives your content an edge. A flicker of animation or a few seconds of video can interrupt the scroll and earn your audience's attention.
It communicates. Fast.
Motion lets you communicate ideas quickly and effectively, especially for audiences who may not stop to read. A well-designed animation can explain a complex service or process in a fraction of the time it would take with text alone.
It strengthens performance.
Different platforms allow for (and favor) different combinations of content format, whether it’s static or video. Including video and animation in your content mix gives your brand more opportunities to show up in the right place, at the right time, in front of the right audience.
It drives emotion.
We’re wired to respond to movement. It helps tell stories, set the tone and tap into emotion. Motion can tell a fuller story while making your message feel more human—and more memorable.
It strengthens brand identity and recognition.
When done right, motion becomes part of your brand’s visual identity. And like any good brand element, it builds recognition and trust over time.
It’s versatile.
Motion is a creative Swiss Army knife. It can clarify, amplify, educate, entertain, persuade and delight—all at once. Whether a subtle logo animation or a high-impact video, motion can bring your brand to life in ways that static images and copy simply can’t.
In-House Video, Animation & Everything In Between
Our in-house motion capabilities allow us to concept, produce, animate, edit and optimize all under one (virtual) roof. We use motion in a variety of ways depending on your message, platform and audience, including:
- Short-form social videos, optimized for scroll
- Animation for ideas that are hard to explain and/or need a visual boost
- Logo animations that add polish to your brand’s identity
- Kinetic typography (a fancy way of saying moving text) to emphasize key messages
- Micro-animations on websites that improve user experience and visual flow
- Testimonial videos that highlight the impact of your brand through real people’s real stories
- Internal and B2B videos, from event sizzle reels to employee training videos
