Emily Block

Junior Copywriter

"I’m on it."
—Emily

If you’re a creative, self-driven multi-tasker who’s fascinated by human psychology, copywriting could be your perfect career. For Emily Block, writing and strategizing for Estipona Group (EG) clients not only draws on these inherent skills — it’s the perfect balance of intellectual challenge and creative expression.

As a Junior Copywriter at EG, Emily spends her days playing with words which includes writing ads, blogs, websites, collateral materials, emails, social media posts and just about anything else required to communicate with a target audience. Creativity and strategy — the yin and yang of advertising — is what drew Emily to the profession, as she enjoys using both sides of her brain to solve tricky communication problems. What makes her good at it is her willingness to tackle each project with curiosity and a commitment to learning everything she can about the client, their needs and what motivates their customers. Guided by strategy, she taps her natural creativity to generate ideas designed to spark action.

Connection and community are core values for Emily — she was an avid volunteer with the Northern Nevada RAVE Family Foundation in her youth — so she appreciates having a roster of mission-driven clients. Helping clients in healthcare, government, education and other sectors connect with their target audiences to reach their business goals keeps her inspired and passionate about the work.

Born in Reno, Nevada, Emily grew up surrounded by creative entrepreneurs who guided her toward a career where she could explore her curiosities and challenge her intellect. (Fun fact, Emily’s grandpa owned a national advertising agency that, at one point, boasted the 52nd largest agency billings in the world). She graduated from Arizona State University in 2023 with a B.S. in Marketing when EG was lucky enough to find her.

When she’s not working under the watchful eye of her gray tabby, Mosi, Emily enjoys spending time with her friends, family and partner Erik. Now that she’s out of school, she looks forward to carving out more time to re-cultivate some of her hobbies, including international travel, photography, cooking, snowboarding, singing and playing music.
