Helping normalize mental health care

The challenge

While mental health is as important to our overall well-being as physical health, use of mental health care services lags far behind medical care. To help Nevada Health Centers increase use of behavioral health services among the uninsured, underinsured, and geographically isolated Nevadans they serve, we first had to overcome two significant challenges: Stigma around mental health care and the perceived affordability barrier.

Inclusive outreach

Nevada Health Centers are a community health resource dedicated to serving the uninsured across the state. It was important that marketing materials represented the diversity of clientele — both socioeconomically and ethnically. We chose abstract illustration and animation to feel inclusive while supporting a narrative.
